The Kazakhstan Center of Industry and Export "QazIndustry" organized a meeting in an online format on the topic: "Development of domestic suppliers and identification of barriers that hinder the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises".
The event was attended by over 80 representatives of large, medium and small businesses: subsurface users, system-forming enterprises, development institutions, and interested state bodies.
Among the companies are North Caspian Operating Company N. V., Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B. V., Tengizchevroil LLP, JSC NC Kazakhstan Engineering, Damu Fund, JSC Kirov Plant, Munaytelecom LLP, Optimum LLP, TMK KazTrubProm and other domestic suppliers of goods and services in the machine-building, oil, geological exploration, engineering and other industries.
The purpose of the meeting is to further increase the competitiveness of domestic suppliers of professional services and goods, establish cooperative relations between suppliers and large customers, as well as increase the awareness of local enterprises about the tools and support measures developed by subsoil users and development funds.
During the event, the operators of large oil and gas projects in Kazakhstan " North Caspian Operating Company N. V., Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B. V. presented their programs for the development of local content and tools for involving local suppliers in industrial cooperation.
In addition, JSC "FRP "Damu" presents support tools for entrepreneurs within the framework of the Unified Business Support and Development Program "Business Roadmap 2025".
In turn, domestic suppliers, represented by Optimum LLP, TOO I-BEC Systems TMK KazTrubProm and UKKZ LLP, held a presentation and familiarized the participants with the activities of their company and highlighted a number of issues related to procurement plans, the procedure for selecting companies and barriers preventing work with large subsurface users.
The meeting made it possible to identify the main barriers that hinder cooperation between small and medium-sized businesses with large customers, as well as to identify common points for stimulating the development of domestic suppliers.
