JSC "Kazakhstan Center for Industry and Export "QazIndustry" of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a conference "Procurement of professional services by customers: problems and prospects".
The conference was attended by major subsurface users of the oil and gas and mining sector, system-forming enterprises, domestic producers, national companies, as well as representatives of state bodies, development institutions and interested organizations.
Representatives of Kazzinc LLP, Kazakhmys Corporation LLP, Lukoil Kazakhstan Upstream LLP, North Caspian Operating Company N. V., Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B. V., KAZ Minerals Group, ArcelorMittal Temirtau JSC, Atyrau Neftemash LLP, Optimum LLP, 10tech LLP, and other representatives of services in the field of engineering, consulting, geological exploration and IT services gathered at one site.
The main purpose of the conference is focused on increasing interest in the development of the professional services sector of domestic suppliers.
In general, the development of local content is one of the directions of Kazakhstan's industrial policy.
The analysis of purchases made in the field of high-tech and intellectual services of monitoring subjects, excluding purchases of state bodies, for the period from 2019 to 2020 shows an increase in the purchase of professional services by 73.2 billion tenge and an increase in the share of local content by 17.6%.
An important result of the 2021 conference was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the domestic service provider "Optimum Design Institute "LLP and the international company "HATCH". This agreement provides for joint activities for the provision of project management, engineering and design services for subsurface users.
Following the results of the conference, points of contact were identified and further plans for cooperation with customers were outlined, which will allow to provide domestic professional service providers with orders in the future.
It should be noted that over the past two years, the event on the development of the professional services sector has established itself as a key platform and contributed to the interaction of large, medium and small businesses.

At the online conference in 2020, cooperation was established between the Republican Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises and the East Kazakhstan State Technical University in the field of conducting scientific research of deposits of solid mineral deposits at the enterprises of large mining and metallurgical companies. Cooperation has been established between Kazakh Petroleum LLP and the International Educational Corporation (hereinafter - IOC) in terms of further cooperation with the Faculty of General Construction of the IOC on consulting, technological and methodological assistance in the application of advanced construction and production technologies, in particular concrete.
