Depletion of deposits is a real problem. Kazakhmys has already presented a project for the liquidation of the Konyrat copper deposit, located at a distance of 15 km from the city of Balkhash, Karaganda region. The liquidation of the deposit will begin in 2045, before that, its projected reserves of 127 million tons of ore have been fully worked out. The demand for copper will increase along with the growth of the number of electric cars in the world. Aluminum prices are falling on expectations that Russia will cancel the export duty on the metal and increase supplies. Kazakhstan continues to reduce the production levels of these metals, increasing the production of steel and gold mining.
