In Russia, there will be a special automated system that will track all the stages of drug movement from the manufacturer to the pharmacy or hospital. The document on the beginning of the experiment on the labeling of drugs to combat counterfeiting and falsification was signed by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

The document gives a start to the mechanism for labeling drug packages with special codes, this is part of the work to counteract the trafficking in falsified, counterfeit products. During the year, the automated system for the registration of medicines will be conducted on a voluntary basis, then becomes mandatory.

About 350 thousand participants of turnover (medicines) will be involved in the system of drug registration, about a thousand manufacturers - about half of domestic, half of foreign, about 100 thousand medical institutions and about 250 thousand pharmacy organizations. Prices for these goods due to the introduction of markings will not grow.
