Development institutes of Kazakhstan and Russia exchanged experience in the development of small and medium-sized businesses

JSC "Kazakhstan Center of Industry and Export "QazIndustry" of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the leading institute of development in the field of small and medium-sized enterprises of the Russian Federation JSC "Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises" held an online meeting on "Measures and tools for "nurturing" small and medium-sized businesses".
During the discussion, the parties identified opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two development institutions and exchanged best practices in the development of small and medium-sized businesses.
Deputy General Director of JSC "Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises" (SME) Nikita Bantsekin informed the participants about the measures taken to support and develop small and medium-sized businesses in the Russian Federation.
In addition, special attention was paid to the areas of support for SMEs in the financial and guarantee direction, the program of "growing" business, providing access to procurement and information and marketing support.
Noting the importance of organizing the meeting, Deputy Chairman of QazIndustry Aidar Kakimzhanov spoke about the company's activities and the project of the Supplier Development Service implemented by the team of the QazIndustry Industrial Cooperation Center, the World Bank and the foreign consultant Euroconsultants S.A.
In turn, the delegation of the SME Corporation was interested in this project and highly appreciated the effectiveness of the working methods of JSC "QazIndustry". Also, the Deputy Director General of the SME put forward a number of proposals for possible cooperation.
Recall that the project of the Supplier Development Service, implemented by QazIndustry together with the World Bank, proved to be an effective tool in supporting the domestic industry.
The PSA project allowed domestic manufacturers to increase the potential for concluding contracts with large customers and receive reimbursement for international certification costs up to 70%. Given the positive result, QazIndustry plans to further scale the PSA project.
Following the meeting, the participants outlined the further vector of development of relations between the companies.
