JSC "Kazakhstan Center of Industry and Export "QazIndustry" held a number of field meetings with representatives of six pilot territorial clusters during October.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the construction cluster (Karaganda region), the milk processing cluster (Akmola region), the furniture cluster (Almaty), the tourism cluster of the Almaty region (Almaty and Almaty region), the pharmaceutical cluster of the South Kazakhstan region (Shymkent and Turkestan region) and the milling cluster (Kostanay region).
During the meetings, problematic issues of cluster initiatives, the current state of Kazakhstan's cluster policy, as well as plans and prospects for their further development were discussed.
Also, QazIndustry presented to the participants of the clusters the draft rules of state stimulation of territorial clusters, developed within the framework of the National Project "Sustainable economic growth aimed at improving the welfare of Kazakhstanis".
The rules provide for subsidizing cluster projects and cluster organizations through project financing, support for educational, scientific, social and engineering infrastructures.

For reference: JSC "Kazakhstan Center for Industry and Export "QazIndustry" within the framework of regional development is authorized to organize and coordinate work on cluster development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including maintaining a register of cluster initiatives with subsequent monitoring of the state of clusters.
