The production capacities of Kazakhstan's light industry are concentrated in four key regions of the country and provide about 60% of production volumes.
In Shymkent (22%), the main players in the light industry are Azala Textile LLP (cotton fabrics, yarn, home textiles), Azala Cotton LLP (cotton yarn), TPC Alliance LLP (cotton yarn), Bal Textile LLP (carpets and carpet products), AGF Group LLP (home textiles), Alem BT LLP (hosiery products).
Almaty region (14.5%) - Almaty Tannery LLP (semi-finished wet-blue, ready-made leather), Mimioriki LLP (adult and children's clothing), Glasman LLP (men's suits, school uniforms), Mediatex-N LLP (hats).
Turkestan region (11%) the main players are cotton processing plants of Khansuar Invest Company LLP, Myrzakent LLP, Turkestan Textile LLP (workwear, home textiles), Altyn Adam LLP (men's suits, workwear).
The main manufacturers of light industry products in Almaty (11%) are Kazlegprom Almaty LLP (men's clothing and footwear, school uniforms, overalls, military uniforms), Semiramida Sewing Company LLP (outerwear), Zhetisu JSC (footwear), KAZSPO – N LLP (sportswear, outerwear), Angelcher LLP (school uniform).
In these regions, there is a developed infrastructure, personnel competencies and availability of raw materials, which serves as a prerequisite for a more developed light industry market.
