On May 16 of the current year, «Kazakhstan Industry and Export Center «Qazindustry» organized а seminar on a gratuitous basis for subsoil users (under contracts (licenses) for the mining of solid minerals) and their suppliers on the issues of clarifying the Rules approved by the Order of the MIID RK dated 21.05.2018. №355., for the purchase of goods, works and services by subsoil users and their suppliers, used in solid minerals mining operations.

The need to hold such a seminar was due to the entry into force (in February of this year) of new amendments to the procurement procedures, which caused numerous requests to the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan regarding the clarification of certain points.

There were a huge number of people who wanted to take part in the seminar. In this regard, «Kazakhstan Industry and Export Center «Qazindustry» plans to continue to conduct such seminars on an ongoing basis, since it plays an important role not only to explain the procurement procedures to the participants, but also to receive feedback from practicing buyers in the form of proposals in order to further improve the procurement rules.
