The eighth meeting of the Council on Industrial Policy of the CIS member States was held in Tashkent

On July 15, 2022, the eighth meeting of the Council for Industrial Policy of the CIS member States was held in Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan). The meeting of the Council was attended by members of the Council and authorized representatives of the CIS states, representatives of scientific, educational and public organizations of the CIS states. Kazakhstan was represented by Karabaev Marat Karimzhanovich – Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Aubakirova Zhanna Tasemenovna - Deputy Head of the Directorate of Economic Integration of "QazIndustry" JSC.

Within the framework of the Council meeting, 12 issues were considered, including light industry, electric power, decarbonization, chemistry, motor fuel and the mining and metallurgical industry. Strategic important documents were also approved, for example, draft Concepts for the development of industrial cooperation of the CIS member states and a set of measures for the development of industrial cooperation of the CIS member states for the period up to 2030 and others.

At the end of the meeting of the Council, the parties agreed to hold a regular meeting of the Council in the second half of 2023 in Bishkek.
