"A good example is the logistics cluster in Holland which promoted development of the Dutch flower cluster. 3 770 companies in Holland manufacture six billion flowers a year. Approximately 50% of all exported flowers are from Holland. Flowers are auctioned about 12 hours, and the next morning after purchase by brokers and large chains they can be found on shop counters of nearby European countries, and the day after – almost worldwide. Development of logistics clusters of Astana and Almaty is a real demand of the national economy," Makeyevich Marat emphasized.

Introduction of the cluster policy is implemented within the State program of industrial and innovative development of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2019 and the project between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the World Bank "Increase in competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in Kazakhstan". Within the project six pilot territorial clusters subject to further cluster analysis for implementation of a cluster initiative have been selected, besides, related measures of state support and necessary base for further implementation of cluster policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan have been developed.

Within implementation of this project by the Center of Cluster Development meetings with participants of the program have been already organized this year:

The conference served as a dialogue platform on exchange of experience in the sphere of dual training with assistance of experts from the German Society for International Cooperation, state organizations, and representatives of the Kazakhstani economy.
