On April 11, 2018 the first public presentation was held in Kokshetau at the premises of LLP Gormolzavod with the participants of the "Milk Processing in the Akmola region" cluster initiative. This event was aimed at summarizing the results of the meetings and discussions on ways for further clustter development.

As a result of this meeting, the cluster development directions were determined and strategic working groups were formed from among enterprises, educational institutions and interested stakeholders to develop specific initiatives that will be included in the cluster development plan.    

In 2018, the Burabay district plans to create a reproductive base for dairy cattle for 3,000 Holstein breeds, said Aslan Kasenov, chairman of the Akmol Sut SEC. By the words of Kasenov A., the implementation of this project will improve the gene pool of existing cows and will help increase their productivity.

According to the deputy head of the agriculture department of the region, Itkusova Kh.L. the milk industry of the Akmola region is not in the best condition. Key problems are low qualification of employees, lack of feed, low quality of milk in personal farms and their territorial remoteness. In his opinion, the combination of enterprises in the cluster will serve as a good impulse for solving these problems.
