In the period from 20 to 22 February this year, the employees of the Centre cluster development of JSC "Kazakhstan Industry Development Institute  " have visited Atyrau, where were held working meetings with the Regional Chamber of entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship and Management of industrial-innovative development of Atyrau region.

The purpose of this trip was to conduct informational and consulting work before the official announcement of the competition to select the territorial clusters.

Earlier, in the first phase of the trips were discussed opportunities to participate in cluster development Programme representatives of building and food industries. Vision was formed potential clusters on manufacture of building materials and the fishing industry.

During the meetings held, the employees of JSC “KIDI” presented the draft selection rules, basic eligibility criteria, and also answered all the questions, concerning conditions fill applications for participation in the contest.

Cluster policy implementation is carried out within the framework of GPIIR on 2015-2016 timeframe. and project between the Government of the REPUBLIC of KAZAKHSTAN and the World Bank, "Enhancing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in Kazakhstan». The project aims to define 6 pilot territorial clusters, which will be held on cluster analysis with a view to the implementation of cluster initiatives, as well as the development of related State support measures and the necessary legal framework for the further implementation of the policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the cluster. The expected project duration is 2.5 years and entered into an active phase after the announcement of the competition for proposals the Ministry of investment and development of the REPUBLIC of KAZAKHSTAN.
