On April 23-24 this year, KIDI JSC, together with the INFYDE ID Company held the first public presentation of the tourist cluster of the Almaty region in Almaty and Taldykorgan.

First Deputy Chairman of the Board of KIDI JSC, M.M. Idrisov, and employees of the cluster development center, director of the Atameken office of the Almaty region N.B. Abilshaikov, Almaty Tourism Department, JSC NGC SEC; Zhetysu, SSC; Kolsai kulderi, SNNP; Charyn, OYL "Association of the development of domestic tourism in Almaty region", representatives of the tourist business of the region, as well as of the 12 districts participating through the branches of the Chamber of entrepreneurs of Almaty region attended the presentation in Taldykorgan in the selector Mode. Also within the framework of the visit to Taldykorgan a meeting with the Deputy Akim of Almaty Region was held, Baizhanov Aidarbek Estebekovich, where issues of cooperation between KIDI JSC and Akimat of Almaty region were discussed within the framework of further stages of the Project implementation.  

On April 24, a similar presentation was held in Almaty, bringing together representatives of the tourism industry and other interested parties. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC NGC Kazakh Tourism, T.T. Duysengaliev, Director of the Atameken Almaty-Bagdat Telebay, Department of Tourism and External Relations of Almaty, Association of Tourist Cluster of the Almaty region Alma-Tau, The Kazakhstan Tourist Association and more than 20 companies operating in the tourism sector. 

Within the framework of the presentation the results of the cluster diagnostics conducted based on the results of the field work conducted by employees of KIDI JSC with foreign consultants in January-March 2018 were presented to the participants. Also on the basis of the analysis results, a number of strategic directions for the development of the tourist cluster of the region were proposed for discussion.

The public presentation allowed to sum up the stage devoted to diagnostics of the current state of the cluster. In the next stage, since May to August of this year the team of KIDI JSC together with the cluster companies will begin to formulate the Cluster Development Action Plans.
